Over 100 Harijan (Hindu) workers of the district town municipality are at the receiving end of step-motherly treatment meted out to them by the authority. Their lone offence – they are Hindu by religion. These ill-fated workers are forced to toil against a paltry monthly pay-packet of Tk.750-1250.And, as such, they staged agitation upholding their legitimate demands for pay-hike, end of unjustified retrenchment policy and permanent jobs.

The district police has sent Sri Krishnadas Chatterjee, a Hindu sadhu in meditation in a crematorium under Ishwarganj municipality, to jail. Six pieces of bones and a skull were recovered from him.

Mr. Balaram Chandra Roy, a Hindu businessman, of Bazarghati village of Shahzadpur upazilla (sub district) 15 : Even a nonagenarian is not spared in Islamic Bangladesh if he or she is a non-Muslim, as it is a serious crime to reunder Sirajganj district, was attacked by armed Muslim hooligans on June 16. He was robbed of over one lakh Bangladeshi takas in cash and left seriously wounded; Roy is now under treatment in Sirajganj Hospital.

Local Islamic terrorists have swallowed the divine property of Sri Sri Rakhal Thakur at Radhakona village under Balaganj upazilla (sub-district) of Sylhet district recently with the help of forged documents. Hindu citizens had been performing their religious rites in this place of worship for over fifty years. The allegations made in this context by the local Hindus have been substantiated and acknowledged by the local administration. But, the authorities are yet to make any effort to free this shrine from the clutches of its illegal Muslim invaders.

Mrs. Dipu Rani Halder (32), a Hindu mother of 3 children, was killed by Muslim terrorists. Mrs. Halder was murdered with sharp weapons inhumanly. The whole area became engulfed with sorrow as the news spread. The poor woman was a native of Dayarampur village of Sadar upazilla (sub-district) under Faridpur district. A murder case has been registered with the local Kotwali police station.

When the custodian of law himself becomes its main violator, flouts it and springs a big thumb on its face what can the common man expect? Whom to turn to for justice? More so, if it is in a ’civilized’ country like Islamic Bangladesh!

In a bizarre turn of events, a local tribal Buddhist school student was raped by a PSI on probation in Lama upazilla (sub- district) under Bandarban district. The culprit police officer Chhamiruddin (25) raped the 15-year-old ill-fated victim in connivance with his colleague, another police officer Ikhtiar Hosain. Chhamiruddin has been arrested.

Everything is possible in Bangladesh when it comes to do something damaging to religious minorities in this country and the hapless minorities fall prey to such circumstances and there is nothing new in it. Scores of such incidents are taking place in this Islamic state.
Recently, a Hindu resident of Shovana area in Dumuria upazila (sub-district) under Khulna district Mr.Bishnupada Mallick became a land loser by a local Jamat-e-Islami leader and Muslim terrorist Sheikh Moslemuddin. Mr.Mallick was forced to part with one acre of land and transfer it in the name of the wife of the said Muslim terrorist since he was traumatized by the rumour of his son, Apurba, being killed in an alleged police cross-fire.

Mr. Suchitro Mohan Pal, 42, a Hindu native of Lama Jagatsi village in Sadar upazila (sub-district) under Maulavibazar district, had to pass thirteen days in police custody. He was thrown behind the bars against a fake arrest warrant. It is alleged that local Muslim terrorists have hatched a plot to throw the poor Pal family out of their dwelling house and capture it.

Belongings worth over three hundred thousand takas (Bangladeshi currency) were robbed from at least four Hindu houses by Muslim terrorists with firearms. Two Hindu youths, Mr. Ujjwal Kumar Sarkar and Mr. Shyamal Sarkar, were critically injured by fires shot at by the terrorists. The victims are the residents of Astail village in Mollarhat upazila (sub-district) under Bagerhat district.

Taltali upazila (sub-district) under Barguna district is habitated by simple and peace-loving Rakhain sect of Buddhism. During the last one decade, at least thirty Buddha statues of precious metal were looted by Islamic terrorists. The administration has been able to recover not a single idol till date.

The guard of the Dhaka-bound intercity Turnanishitha Express was inhumanly murdered in the guard room after the train ended its journey from Chittagong. A resident of Koilal village in Nawabganj upazila (sub-district) of Dhaka district, Mr.Gopal Chandra Mandal (Hindu), 50, had to suffer beastly tortures before being killed by Muslim terrorists. He was found lying in a pool of blood with at least 10-15 deep marks of stabbings on his body.

Some Muslim terrorists abducted a Hindu girl, raped and murdered her by strangulating after committing the heinous crime. Poor Chameli Tripura (14) of Batchandrapara of Ramgarh upazila (sub-district) in Khagrachhari district had no idea that it would be her last journey while being kidnapped by a group of Muslim beasts on her way to school. Her mutilated body was found on January 10 by the police. According to police sources, Chameli’s death was caused by strangulation.

Muslim terrorists laid a siege around Mr. Debabrato Saha Roy’s house and robbed valuables estimated at over five hundred thousand takas (Bangladeshi currency). Mr. Saha Roy of Balaingua area in the district town of Netrakona and his family members were severely attacked, too, by the armed dacoits during their ‘operation’.

The 300-year-old burning ghat at Sachibunia in Botiaghata upazila (sub-district) under Khulna district is now under the greedy glare of the Islamic terrorists. Members of the Hindu community of the adjoining villages like Jharbhanga, Rangemari, Durgatala, Nijakhamarchara, Krishnanagar, Banshbaria had been performing their last rites in the crematorium during the last three hundred years. The Muslim hooligans are now leaving no stones unturned to grab the land of this burning ghat. Local Hindu citizens now have sought the district magistrate’s intervention and proper remedy to this situation.

Farooq Akand of Saghata upazila (sub-district) under Gaibandha district, a teacher of a madarsa (Islamic theological school), has kidnapped Ms. Muktarani Saha, (14), a minor Hindu girl. The ninth-standard student of local Pilot High School still remains untraced. Incidentally, Farooq is the brother-in-law of the now executed hardcore Islamic terrorist Bangla Bhai.

In a rare, bizarre and unbelievable turn of events, a RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) officer of Bangladesh has been made the target of attack and looting in his native house itself. The said paramilitary officer residing at Charia village of Phulpur upazila (sub-district) in Mymensingh district is a Hindu and that is his offence. Islamic terrorists attacked the houses of RAB officer Mr. Rupendra Mandal and five others and left them poorer by robbing belongings worth over three hundred thousand takas (Bangladeshi currency).

If it is the fate of a paramilitary official himself, what could befall on ordinary people of the religious minority communities in an Islamic country like Bangladesh is anyone’s guess!

Mr. Dulal Sarkar (Hindu) of Khaliapara village under Ullapara upazila (sub-district) in Sirajganj district is another loot-victim in line. Muslim terrorists are always on their toes whenever there is any opportunity to cause damage or to ruin any religious minority family or household in Bangladesh. The said victim’s house was attacked by a gang of armed Muslim terrorists and Mr. Sarkar was turned poorer by over three hundred thousand takas (Bangladeshi currency) in cash and in kind.

Three Hindu natives of Kalkalia village in Jagannathpur upazila (sub-district) under Sunamganj district were severely injured by armed Muslim terrorists. The victims – Mr.Satindra Das (50), Mr. Runu Das (55) and Mr. Kebal Das (32) – are now under treatment in Jagannathpur Hospital.
